Now in order to answer his question I have to make certain assumptions. Since this is a Filipino ex pat forum, I assume his wife is not British, probably Filipina. Then when he says will be with my wife, it is not clear if she is here or will accompany him. That's why I asked. If she is Filipina with 2 kids she might have delivered here before. This has now been clarified by the OP.

Some foreigners have been kept hostage forced to stay in the hospital geting higher and higher bills, when they can't pay high hospital bills,

but if you don't get private room, then that's not allowed. But it's risk a hospital count biger rooms with separators as "private" too !
