LOOK: Boracay mountain flattened, forest cleared

Boracay hill.jpg (I will copy and paste the text of the article in case the link gets taken down)

Smells like the sewage is not getting cleaned up after all.  Or maybe it is, while "other stuff" is going on at the same time.

Makes sense.... that would be a good place for a casino... and we all know that casinos are good for the environment ha ha :tiphat:

Interesting.......

From the Article: The reason for flattening the mountain has not been determined, but residents have said that the land is privately owned.

Boracay according to The Supreme Court Ruling is State Owned. No one can own land on Boracay.

MANILA, Philippines — The government has every right to close down Boracay Island, based on existing jurisprudence by the Supreme Court (SC) that declared the famous tourist destination as state-owned.

lots of rumors flying around that its owned by the Chinese who will put up a casino of their own.. ??  and of course that then leads to the well publicized bromance of xi and the little king? a casual observation of the administrations goings on could make one wonder if the Philippines has undergone a metamorphosis that the sleepy populace hasnt been  informed of and isnt welcomed to speak of. just a feeling.

"Lawyers also not know of this Little known fact that  seems has only raised its head  Now"

lawyers , real estate sales people, surveyors, dept. of land records, contractors etc etc... ?

of course they ALL KNOW IT.. lets dont be so naive as to think that the laws where you came from would possibly have any bearing on transactions done in the fils. ANY TRANSACTION..  please forget those notions.

ive personally watched as my local surveyor nonchalantly moved property markers to suit his clients request for more property and gotten away with it.

realtors offer you property that youre never allowed to speak to the owners about. you can only negotiate with the realtor. ??

a trip to most any local municipalities dept . of land records will surely make you cringe.

even with a good lawyer you can never be 100% certain that your property is actually yours alone

we looked at a piece of land one day on the sea and talked with the neighbor about possibly buying it. we went back a few days later and all of the trees were gone. the neighbor said lightening killed them and they had to be removed . ive seen and heard that story several times.

and the beat goes on........ its d fils

I think your tone is a Little OTT. we are not stupid and I am here a long time, I asked a question and made a statement. Pompous people we don't need here
