Hmm.... the comments on the story assume he was an american. But his name sounds like a filipino name. Perhaps he was a fil-am or naturalized american filipino.

His killer or killers may have gained access to the house through a second floor window. The police have yet to determine why Nalapo was killed./lb

What leads you to believe that multiple hack wounds to the head could be suicide? Thank you.

The member you are asking has a "unique" sense of humor and I suggest he was being sarcastic. Welcome to the forum.  It takes time to get to know the personalities of all our contributors.

There is the perception in the Philippines that due to lazy policing murders are often put down as suicide even when it seem obviously not to be the case.

Oh OK, he was joking. In that case, Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha! As a former police officer and undercover detective, it appears that the police here are irrelevant with so many guys standing around with 12-gauge shotguns. Not the weapon of choice, but I imagine they are just for show and do not even work. Thank you for reading.
