Need advise regarding my Financial bank in the USA while living in the Philippines

Not quite the same but I'll share -

A year or so back I received a birthday card sent from the UK.  I thought it had arrived early but in fact it was a year late!  That's not the story though - the card was correctly addressed but someone somewhere in the system in their wisdom decided that it was intended for the USA - our subdivision is named after a city/state in the USA.  I as able to see notes on the envelope which eventually led to it being delivered to the correct address.  Pretty impressive. 

Unfortunately, there was no money in the card - or maybe fortunately as that might explain why it made it here at all!
