In a recent topic, I said that ‘Table Manners’ often sounds like an oxymoron  when said by a Westerner in the Philippines. Another potential oxymoron in the Philippines is ‘customer service’ when a Westerner experiences the lack of it. Can anyone think of any other oxymorons?

Asking for directions.  "Doon." or "Over there." which translates to, "I don't know, but I am embarrassed that I don't know so I let me point to one direction and hopefully it is the correct one."

This one used to annoy me a couple of decades ago when the kids used to say it... "Same difference"

Reminds me of an old favorite:  Hi,  I'm from the government and I am here to help.  (Not sure if it is an ideal oxymoron but it strikes my funny bone.)
