Onemore52 Posted August 2, 2023 Posted August 2, 2023 In Bicol, the blackouts start at 6a.m. and finish at 6p.m. and are guaranteed for every alternate Sunday. The Governor here is trying to develop tourism as a means to promote the area, with plans to reopen the airport which hasn’t been used since Noah was a boy. Good luck with his dreams where power and running water can’t be guaranteed. I guess that’s the way it is.
Snowy79 Posted August 2, 2023 Posted August 2, 2023 If you live in Puerto Galera a back up supply is a must. I've never known a place so bad for brown outs and power fluctuations.
Onemore52 Posted August 3, 2023 Posted August 3, 2023 Snowy. My condolences to you. Do you have a alternative supply or like me just wait it out?
Sea Turtle Posted August 5, 2023 Posted August 5, 2023 Solar is nice as the cost has come down. Don't forget about the raining season. And also the sun moves in the sky during the year. The amount of power on a sunny day is much different than on a cloudy/rainy day. We have to over provision a lot, for it to be dependable. But once its in, no more electric costs.
