Just exchanged USD again on BPI online.  58.10.  Stock up while you can.  XE midmarket rate is 58.21, so a small spread at BPI right now.  I still have a bit of USD left if it goes higher.

I guess the reports are wrong that the Bangko Sentrale will defend the peso at 58 to 1.   The government subsidies and spending for infrastructure is beginning to be felt.  Maybe the authorities will stabilize the peso at 60 to 1.   (Wishful thinking.)

Feel bad for the average Filipino family. Inflation, erosion of the Peso low wages and stagnant job growth is tough.

Nothing special. I'm only going to be here for three months this trip and I wanted something to knock around on.  Hate depending on others for transportation and I get tired of riding buses. Bought a pristine Rusi Rapid 150 with 750km. Female driven for 30k.  I'm a 6'3 280 lb former powerlifter. It hauls me and my 90lb wife just fine. She says I drive too fast ;-)

I'm in Western Mindanao and there seems to be no licensing rules here. Young teens drive helmetless everywhere. I've become a local novelty item driving around here.

Having a motor is a game changer for me.  It definitely adds a sense of freedom.
