For me, if I am at a bar and want to hit on a girl I would just attempt to start a conversation with her. If she acted like she was interested I would ask for her number / suggest getting a drink / coffee / etc. Here, I generally can tell if the girl is interested or not based on their level of interest in the conversation / body language. In a disco setting then it is pretty much the same as in the US or anywhere else, but in regular bars most (NOT ALL) girls would probably be working girls and then there are girly bars where you have to pay a fee to take the girl out of her work. I am married so let me clarify that I only pick girls up for other single guys while walking around, and my wife knows I do this because she is often with me when doing so. Usually a raise of the eyebrow when eye contact is made shows an interest or is a friendly way of saying hello. I got picked up by a very pretty lady, (pretty enough to be a model in the US) in the eyebrow way once while sitting with another married couple while my wife was visiting her sisters. It was during valentines day and I then bought her a rose and told her how pretty I thought she was and showed her my wedding ring and told her that had I not been very happily married then I would have loved to have gotten to know her. She was very impressed and still wanted to get to know me and I said no and went back to my friends. So yes meeting women is very easy if an old ugly fart like me can do it, but a good girl will usually require an introduction, but in the cities things have loosened up a lot and having a printed card with your cell number on it and handing it to women you would like to get to know via text usually works well too. But for god's sake.... and I say this part hypocrtically..... make sure they're not with a guy they have kids with at the moment.... to the best of your ability. That wasn't my situation, but I've heard a lot of stories of women using a foreigner as income with or without her husband's knowledge.... only to use that income to ditch the foreigner and continue on life with the guy she loves. Also, not to rag on age descrepancies, but I think if you're going to start out in the Philippines fresh, go for someone closer to your age, by which I mean 30 if you're 40+. I have nothing against old guys with young girls, but I do agree with Traveler that a woman around that age is much more mature and able to handle the realities of life than a 20 year old who thinks you're going to make her life a living shopping spree. I don't say that only towards Filipinas, but towards women from any country. A 30 year old has a better idea what life is and what she wants. A 20 year old will change. OH!!! :yes: Something Mike said above reminded me of something, Make Sure they are not a guy, besides not being with a guy. :lol: There are a lot of very pretty ladyboys in the Philippines, and I have seen some foreigners with them walking around the mall like proud peacocks. To each his own, and maybe they knew, but if that is not your desire, then you might wish to give them the elbow test, make sure their elbow bends back a little because males cannot, or should I say from those I have seen, but I would not be surprised if some ladyboys even get that fixed. If they look too good to be true and dress very sexy in public and I am not talking about in discos where everyone dresses to the hilt, then there is a good chance they may not be women. Maybe even winning the jackpot of enticing multiple ladies for an adventurous evening. Yourodds (I believe) are much better in the Philippines, according to our good love doctor, Ekimswish. When a young couple get married, regardless of who is older or by how much, how many times a week do you think they are having sex? With the pressures of work and family and just the natural comfort zones they get into, I know for sure that there are many equal age couples who have sex fewer times than the May December couples after they have been together a few years.It seems to me that those who use that argument are just insecure about their own performance.
