I will be coming to the Philippines in a few months and I will be going to Manila first for a week and then Cebu for two weeks. I need to find a clean and reasonable place to stay in both place and good suggestions?

In Manila I usually stay at the Swaggman Hotel. I've never stayed in a hotel in Cebu so I can't help you there.

I have never stayed there but have stayed in quite a few hotels in Cebu now.In my opinion the Montebello hotel is a good hotel, very laid back and in a good location as well.Food is fine and two pools to laze around. :36_1_68[1]:

We have stayed at Montebello a few times and I really like that place, it has two pools and a free breakfast buffet, if you know to ask for it, and we found the rooms reasonably clean. I also liked that it was right behind the Country Mall and a block more to Banilad Town Center, so we could walk there for lunches dinners and walk back. Also the BPI ATM is right in front of Country mall, so that was also very convenient. I give that one :th_exactly:

Depends where you are in Cebu. Do you want to stay in the City or near beaches etc?

Just wondering, wow there are a lot of Negative reviews on the Swagman here on the net....I used to stay there but havn't been in 16 years......I am also looking for a decent (low end) place to stay for a night that will provide transport from the airport. will be coming in somewhere between the 5th & 10th of Nov. Anyone know any other low end places in Manila that will pick up at the airport?? Will only need one night before moving on to other locations on Luzon.

Stayed at the Montebello twice in Feb. It's decent and next to mall but too expensive, imo. Booked thru Asia Travel and paid $55 and $60 USD per night. You can do much better. Think I'll try the Kiwi when I go in Feb 2010.
