Garpo Posted September 8, 2011 Posted September 8, 2011 Been in the Philippines for a year now and presently on an extended tourist visa. I need to fly back to the US for about two weeks and then will return to the Philippines. It is my understanding that I have to pay a airport teminal tax (fee) when I leave Manila. Is this correct and does anybody know how much it costs? Thanks

Garpo Posted September 8, 2011 Author Posted September 8, 2011 Thanks Boss I booked through Delta and it says that sometimes the airlines already pay the tax. Any luck with that happening with me?
brock Posted September 8, 2011 Posted September 8, 2011 I think you will have to pay the airport tax yourself....Also if I remember correctly, if you have been in the country for more than 6 months you will have to pay an exit clearance fee, But cannot remeber how much it is. Mr Lee Posted September 8, 2011 Posted September 8, 2011 I have never stayed over 6 months at one time so I have no personal experience on this, and we stay on a balikbayan Privilege stamp anyway, so I do not know if it would apply to me or not, but for you on top of terminal fees, it is my understanding that you will have to have an exit clearance before you can leave, so please check into that well in advance of your departure time. Exit ClearancesTourist 6 months+Tourists staying more than 6 months must obtain an Emigration Elearance Certificate(ECC) from BI. You must submit the proper form along with 3 passport-sized photographs and the visa fees.
Steve & Myrlita Posted September 8, 2011 Posted September 8, 2011 I can only tell you of my fees as a 13A visa holder. 1st, everyone pays the P750 airport fee if traveling internationally, P200 if domestically. Since I have a 13A, I have to pay for re-entry permit and emmigration clearance which comes to P2820 total.

Garpo Posted September 8, 2011 Author Posted September 8, 2011 I was informed that as long as I had my ARC-I card that it would serve as the Emigration Clearance Certificate. Is this correct?
