Took this photo of a guard outside a bar in Angeles City. Eventually I will scan the rest. (Service days), I mean like some who were stationed in the Philippines or visiting, not servicing the girls at the bar,lol. Anything like photos of the streets,family gatherings or what ever. There was no bus station like there is now. At the time there was a simple sign post next to a McDonalds.Head Waiter at the Oasis Hotel in Angeles City. Always remember him as being a nice guy. Fun to talk to.Two were inside a dress\tailor shop in Makati City. The girl in the white shirt and pink shorts was a friend of a lady I was dating in Okinawa.Last was a bar in Angeles. Back then there were places you could play darts and chess with the ladies. Of course there were other places. It looks quite professional, but takes a bit of your time. What about YouTube videos ?? There are quite a few good ones on the Philippines, right from the early 1900's right up to modern day. There are even quite a lot on Jose Rizal, even featuring his execution. There is also quite a few around the second world war. You can do the same thing with VLC media player. Right click on the clip you want and open with VLC, then on the top video bar, just click snapshot. You might have to do quite a few, to get just a small percentage of good clear useable pictures. I also have some of people nitpicking 100 years ago, so that has been practiced for a long time, and continues to be a favorite pastime. Makes you wonder why anyone would even buy a television when you can have so much fun nitpicking............unless the TV is for birth control purposes only. I find these pictures amazingly interesting from a cultural point of view. You can see the supposed dates that these photos were taken in the Titles. Hope you enjoy.
