Abusive Foreigner - Pinoy Pride.

I was tempted to write a comment that in 5 years of living here, almost none of that has happened to me but I have seen it happen to very loud and aggressive foreigners who try to push filipinos around. But I did not write it as I do not want to escalate the situation.

Yes, some people are a magnet for trouble. It feeds on them, and vice versa.

I was just on the site - it's back up!

No matter what country you are in, what nationality you or the other person is, or even just what the heck happened - you will always run across people who sound just like both letter writers. It is best to just ignore them and let them wallow in the muck they are trying to make on their own.

This is a prime example of why I always like to say for everyone to look on the bright side of things... It helps to keep us out of the muck! :mocking:

Well. I agree with you it can be better to try to ignore, when being the foreigner yourself,

BUT in some other cases I think better fight it, because otherwice foreign haters get to much power.

E g in France the foreign hater party get many votes,

and in Sweden they got their highest percentage of followers ever (8 %) in the last oppion poll :(

I mean fight against them who hate the good/normal foreigners. But at the same time fight the foreigners, who hit and kill their own daughters just because they want some western freedom :bash:

Oh my my

I do drive here, 9 years in the chaos of Manila, i have seen many proud owners of a brand new "mazda 2" trying to keep the entire road for their self just because they think their car makes them as important as the president...My offroad car has a calmini steel bumper (with the winch attached to it) of 7mm thickness. Pure massive steel. I take it an inch besides them and they do drive away, if rough road i drive as as fast as possible through all the bumps, and still an inch besides them, they scream "gago kano", i enjoy seeing their faces full of fear!!!! hahahaha.

Have found others who will not give up, then i give up and smile to them even showing them thumbs up that they won, they smile back :)

At highways, i just drive the way we all know, keep the right side and even if the road is empty never speed more than 80-100km/h, when i overpass them i usually do it from the same lane i am the right one, since they keep the left side more religiously than Cuba keeps communism....that is how i call them a radical communist, keeping left no matter what!!!!

They are funny and not knowing how to drive!!!! Try you guys to drive through SCTEX, a wonderful road with endless straight lanes, great asphalt, but unprotected from side winds. A fact of highway driving filipinos know nothing about until they crush and still do not know why they crushed. You see them speeding with small cars roughly maintained and tires of a joke, with 140-150km/h, they say it is staight...they have no idea the friction of the tires on the boiling apshalt under this sun, generates extreme heat their tires will not take it explode and explode them too. I have seen on this road so many accidents WITHOUT a reason!!! Single cars upside down or flying over bridges etc...

Once i witnessed one he saved it the last minute, a brand new Toyota Altis, he overpassed like a devil, i was going 100 i guess he had 150+, on the distance i saw him going on the side of the road ready to hit the barrier, due to side winds, lucky him he braked fast and saved it.

Another time i am behind a heavy loaded coca cola HUGE truck, on the turn the heavy carriage swings and comes on two wheels, i immediatelt pushed my brakes and the hazard lights, he saved it by trurning the wheel on the other side. The guy behind me he almost crushed on me. Later on at the snacks and gas station we stopped and he parked besides me, he kindly asked me why did i hit my brakes so hard, i told him he came on two wheels if he didn't notice, then he told me, i noticed but he corrected it almost immediately so there was no need for me to hard braking...I told him sorry po i am not so used of driving on highways...he smiled with irony as if i do not know how to drive and he is the specialista!!!! hahahahhahahh

One of the sayings that professional drivers in Canada say amongst themselves is: Them 4 wheelers (ordinary drivers with cars and pickups) seem to think that anyone going faster than them is an a**h*le and anyone going slower than them is and idiot.
