Metro bank rules are Passbook account 10000php with copies of passport and ACR card.  ATM account 2000php with the same copies.  If you are going to transfer a pension then no deposit and just passport but also a letter from British embassy that you are a pension holder

I was planning on going to another bank when i happened to pass by a metro bank. I thought i'd give it a go and it was very easy to open an account. However, i could only open a savings account.

I'll worry about the ACR in about 6 weeks or so.

Thanks for all of your input.

Just to continue this topic a little.

I'm still on a tourist visa and there is nothing stopping me from setting up a business with it. However, the ACR is a diferent cookie. My problem is that I work in different countries so i travel a lot. I can hardly stay 20 days in the same country, let alone 59 days.

I went to immigration last Friday to explain my problem. They didn't really have any solution other than "stay here 59 days". Crazy if you ask me. It's just impossible!

I was pretty $%%*#%^ so i forgot the ask them about the innerworkings of the ACR in combination with a work permit. My company is almost set up and because I'm planning on hiring more then 10 natives, I am eligeble for a work permit.

I'll keep you posted because I can imagine that other people might have the same problems in the future.
