Paul_QLD Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 Tks Chris ... I appreciate your reply and respect your opinion. I had about 4 paragraphs written in reply, but for some reason I got logged out before I hit the submit button. What I was trying to say in a nutshell tho is that my life physically in the last twelve months has changed dramatically since we originally decided to do the visa thing and none of this phased her one bit. Everything we planned about our lives, in particular my life in AU is completely different to what we had discussed and the only constant thing is how we communicate freely and openly. Hopefully that will get us thru. The above might sound off topic, but as the title says ...."First time living with a filipina was not exactly ... as planned in my case" :)

The above might sound off topic, but as the title says ...."First time living with a filipina was not exactly ... as planned in my case" :) Well one thing I have learned is filipina's seem to have an infinite amount of patience, things that get me hot under the collar, they shrug of with a nod of their pretty little heads. They don't get phased about much really, maybe it's us foreigners that phase them out.. The thing I have learnt, it is not her that has the problem, more often than not it is me, bringing my western upbringing/ways/culture here and trying to impose it upon her, because of her I now just go with the flow, much easier for both of us, but it takes time and her patience to help me. Popular Post Methersgate Posted July 16, 2014 Popular Post Posted July 16, 2014 I have to remind myself that when K feels that she wants my advice, she will ask for it, in a very straightforward way - and she actually does do so. If she does not ask for my advice, it is because she doesn't need it, and I should shut up.
