So sad to see all that talent go to waste. Too bad he didn't get the help he thought he needed before he took his own life.

Very sad news indeed. Goes to show that "depression" can not be taken for granted, and does affect every walk of life.

Lets hope his death will increase awareness of depression, so that others can live a better life

those who need or seek help should be able to get it,

income or where they live should not be a barrier to overcome this "possible killer"

I, for one, would definitely not like to experience the absolute despair that deep depression brings.

If one of the funniest men in the world could not cure himself with laughter there is no hope for us regular folks!  It is a terrible mystery.

They say he was on antidepressants.  These are powerful medications that have many side effects, one of witch is suicide. The label clearly states that you are to call or see the doctor immediately if you experience any side effects.  Robbin did not follow instructions.

During the Falklands Conflict, I saw HMS Sheffield go down in under 2 minutes with a loss of 300+ lives

PTS, they call it, Depression, is what it is. 7 months of Treatment and never alone for more than 10/15 mins.  ( It's called Suicide watch)

What the heck, Happened here??

I have to take cautious issue with this, Graham. Antidepressants are give to lift the mood. Yes there are side effects which

can also be treated with medication. The biggest danger is in being so depressed that taking antidepressants becomes

not worth the bother. In truth, Graham, suicide can never be considered a side effect of anything. Robin struggled with

manic depression all his life. We remember him best in his manic phases, forgetting that we were watching a mentally ill

person displaying his mania to the world, and being loved for it.
