A friend has just sent me this, I have posted it for him as he is a little tied up at the moment.

Another sad loss, to the community of Ex-pats.

I think many of us will guess at what happened. "Cherchez la femme" - but she won't be found.

For why his reason may have been, may he rest in peace.

Thank you for including the comments section.  It was interesting to see the Filipino thoughts - especially those towards retirement homes.  Yes, the Philippines are an entirely different world - something many of us often forget!

Yes, may he rest in peace. I certainly hope his days preceding his last day were as good as his last day must have been bad.

Sad story, but becoming more and more common it seems.  Just another reason to plan your financial future and make sure that you have enough to not only comfortably live off of now, buy enough to support you in the future as well.

lets hope that the members of the forum &other expats

have a PLAN B/PLAN C

and some one that they/we can talk too.maybe if this man had a fellow country man to talk too(or a member of his faith) .

who knows he may would had a different perspective towards  his outlook on life

and the end would not been this way...

Lets pray that if we/me/you feel that despondent    that we can ask someone for help or to talk too

Hey Steve

At the very least he said he loved the Philippines, so it is hopeful he had many good years before this tragic ending. May he rest in peace (so very sad).

One dies when he dies. I really don't see the fuss about it? Death that is.

Hey, he doesn't have to pay taxes no more! Besides, there are 70 Virgins waiting for him!!

Alby, you owe me a keyboard because I just spewed on mine. What kind of Jihad was the guy on? :hystery:

At the time I read the story I thought to myself that this guy couldn't catch a break. He even had the power outage later in the day blamed on him. It's always the foreigners fault of course.
