My wife is Filipina and has no interest in Mindanao either, even though most of that island is quite safe. It seem it depend much of PROPAGANDA.Some people from and being in MANILA are affraid of NPA in SAMAR/MINDANAO !!! while common people LIVING in Samar/Mindanao are normaly NOT affraid of NPA often even LIKE them :lol: in some provinces finding them doing a GOOD "police work", where the Police don't do it... Your destination is completely clear of the issues you mentioned in your topic.
