my expectation to get Tradesmen for stairs and such for about $10 per day. Am I dreaming here?

We have land and pay two farmers 300 a day each plus give them lunch.

We are also building a house and the labor get 350 a day, Single trade i.e. the guy does rendering 400 a day an the more multi skilled or on 500 a day and pretty much do block work, rendering, carpentry, tiling etc most civil jobs.  Electrician when on site gets 450 a day.

May help and give you an idea...............

Hi Jack. Sounds doable. I figure two months for this basic build, with 3 guys ( and me ) 40hrs/week. This helps.

Thankyou.

Ok, will arange the number of hours to suit the old budget ( very small budget, you may have guessed by the simple plan ) We are, hopefully, just outside the Typhoon zone. ( Missed the last one over Bohol by 25 miles or so. ) So...won't have to go for the steel truss roof. Thought by having only a one foot rise it will help. Besides, if that goes - the rest of the town will lose their roofs, and they never to date.

Hope I don't lose my head like the two Canadians last winter...lol

Small contradiction in terms but These People seem to be a tradesman in Everything. Depending where you live  $10 is OTT for wages

Here on Negros daily wages are about 350 peso so $7

No contradiction. Carpentry was a Trade when I went to school.......long time ago.

That's my Point, My friend you call for a Carpenter you get a mason Turn up who can use a saw and nails, you ask for a Plumber and an Electrician turns up who BTW can install your A/C. Many men here think construction Work is a Trade in it'self, many do not understand our way of thinking, using different Trades for separate work, Here, it is "Gizza a Job, I can do that"  Yosser.png Best Of luck my friend hope all goes well:thumbsup:
