At the moment trying to control it so it can be managed and probably buying time in the hope a vaccine will be released.

I've just seen the latest figures and the Philippines is now the second most infected country in Asia with one of the worst death rates.  I'm getting regular photos sent showing hundreds of locals just going around the city as if nothing unusual is going on, and even more on the streets for the Black Nazarene or whatever it is called that happened today.

My good friend is a nurse in a province and she's burnt out with stress.  There's no PPE, little testing and no specialist equipment anyway. All of her colleagues are also on their last legs and ready to resign.

I think if there is a vaccine unless it is free and they herd everyone up like sheep to give it to them it will just continue.  Somehow I can't see them doing that to over 106m people who in a lot of cases would rather go to the local faith healer.  I for one would not take a vaccine until it's been in the system for a few years.

the problem is this is completely new territory. all they ve really done is study other outbreaks and make computer models.  and like in war the plans normally survive fisrt contact . now their just reacting looking for an openning

Rock and a hard place is exactly it for developing countries mate, it's gonna be a tragedy.

It's going to be hell for every country, not just the developing ones. Nature is trying to take it's course. Unfortunately for us old bastards..we will bite the dust first.

This will be back to normal once the vaccine is ready and effective.
