Make sure you buy the right one. It has to fit the forehead and have an adjustable strap.

Can you please show me the link.
Earlier today we had a meeting with the DOH about face shields and the eye glass type are acceptable in our business, as long as they cover the whole face.

I have lived and worked here long enough to know neither will be enforced.

I am certain the rule will be enforced with the same diligence as the motorcycle helmet law which has been in effect for many years.

Not sure about that for example where my GF works, no shield no entry to the building and then for transport. Also for helmet it depends where you live, in Cebu city I often seen motorbike riders being stopped and checked for everything but out in the province it will be different.

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, August 13) — Health Secretary Francisco Duque III said in a memorandum that non-medical grade face shield or the one used in public settings should cover the whole face of the person wearing it.

Below are the other DOH-recommended specifications for the said face covering:

-Made of plastic or acetate material

-Can be disinfected easily

-Provides good visibility

-Fog resistant

-Has an adjustable band to attach firmly around the head

-Fits the forehead

Some face shields available in the market are visor-type ones which only cover the eyes.

Like everything else here this is going to be very, very selective.

Like Jolly says, everyone wears a helmet on the main roads, but go one block away to a parallel road and you (here in Manila) see no helmets, double and triple riding and not a cop in sight.

Almost nightly on the news here you will see motorcycle kops issuing tickets and the officer in charge being interviewed, but as soon as the cameras are gone the kops all gather together and just wave their arms for traffic to move.

So who will enforce the face mask law in the neighborhoods, will they ticket all the ladies sitting outside their houses selling BBQ and lugaw? Heck, there was an article today that they are reducing the fine for not wearing a mask in Quezon city.

call my cynical but the virus isn't getting spread by motorcycle riders, or even in restaurants and malls. It is getting spread  in the back alleys and narrow streets

So far as I know, face shields are not yet required here except in certain circumstances - like food service workers. But I see them a lot lately anyway...

Here in Davao, there are a few heavily enforced police checks from time to time. They seem to be targeting motorcycles almost exclusively. I don't ride my bike any more so don't know the story. Last Wednesday, there was a checkpoint in Mintal that must have had 15 or more police and lots of bike riders pulled over and being checked. I could not tell what sort of police, but at least not CTTMO, rather, blue uniforms...

But Scott is correct. In the city proper, everyone wears a helmet, has closed toe shoes, wears a mask. Outside just a few kms and you see much fewer masks - maybe 50%? -  mostly flip flops, not so many helmets. And I would wager few riders with licenses because they look so young. If I understand what L told me correctly, people must be 21 to get driver's licenses now... can anyone verify this?

Guards in my building today tolds me that there was a Makati ordinance stating wearing masks and face shields were both now mandatory but I cant find such a ruling.

I do know that BPI and Mercury Drugs here now requires both.  Whats next.. PPE to go to the supermarket ????

I think there is a nationwide requirement to wear a face shield on public transport effective today, but i guess LGUs and private organisations are free to add to this.
