I am no expert but I reckon that will do it. We are having our first sunny day here in Bicol, so I went to the garden and had a look at some of our bogies, especially those that looked at not doing so well after a week of solid rain. What I found was the crook ones didn’t have proper drainage, or that the pebbles in the bottom had solidified.

We made up a batch of potting mix with more rice husks to give better drainage.

Yep, I'm 99.9% that the roots were saturated hence the demise of the plants.  I'll put the remaining 0.01% down to the cat's piss.
