When we came here nine years ago we brought our two dogs.  We flew Seattle>Japan>Manila, rest two days, then on to Cebu as this was least "air time" for the dogs.  After departing Japan the steward came down the aisle and said; "I just wanted to inform you that your two dogs made the transfer safely and are on board the aircraft.  Being the humorist that I am, I replied; "Thank you, I don't want the dogs to worry, can you let them know that we also made the transfer safely and are on board?"  There was a look of confusion on his face until I started to laugh and he realized I was joking.

Speaking of treament of pooches here, yesterday I saw a Rotweiler short chained at the gate as a warning dog.  Some Chinese guy.   I was like, Ya gotta be kidding me!  What a waste, but is what it is here I guess...sadly.
