Which hospital, in Philippines?

Not that I had any plans, but this thread has warned me off mountains forever.

Silliman University Medical Center in Dumaguete. Dr Christian Casamayor

That's the way I should do it book it in through a hospital in Brisbane on Medicare not private then the notification triggers the trip back to Oz.

They are tightening up on Health Concession Cards for pensioners though. My new card expires after 6months unless I'm in Australia.

I usually get a new pair of glasses on the Queensland Free Spectacles scheme every 2 years but this last trip I was told I had to wait 6 months as my Concession card had just been issued on my return to Oz. This wasn't previously the case.

A health cost thread would be helpful as we age gracefully:morning1:

When my leg/knee is healed I need to see an Urologist here as an ultrasound test in Australia on my recent trip back showed urine retention in the bladder.

I was quoted AUD$3k for a private Urologist procedure  for relief of a stricture. Urethral dilatation is a procedure to widen the urethra leading from the bladder, to help fully empty the bladder.

Wondering what this procedure costs here.
