Random Acts Of Kindness

Years ago my former wife and I were in Reno Nevada , a gambling town in USA. We were going from casino to casino trying our luck. There are a lot of homeless beggar people asking for money and this trip was no exception. One night we were heading back to the hotel crossing some railroad tracks that run threw town and out of the dark I hear this lady say "please". It was dark and I had to look to see her, she was squatting down with her had out, we just kept walking. After we got home from the trip, I remembered the beggar lady and couldn't get her out of my mind. There was something different about her, all the rest of the beggars hung around in front of the casinos, this lady was in the shadows in a out of the way place

There was something different about her, all the rest of the beggars hung around in front of the casinos, this lady was in the shadows in a out of the way place…..why hadn't I given her something? Was this a test…..was she an angel testing me? Why had we just kept walking. Felt like I had failed the test put before me.A couple of years later we were again in Reno, again going from casino to casino packing out cup full of nickels hoping for some luck . We were crossing the same railroad tracks, I heard the same plea, looked down and there was the same lady squatting in the dark with her hand out. I walked over, put my bucket of nickels in her hands…..she said "God bless you sir" and I walked off. A few steps away I turned around to look and she was gone. Doug and Sally
Did you win??
I believe that Doug won the jackpot. It's quite apparent just by looking at his avatar with Sally. Doug was touched by an angel, a complete stranger. Now he's a happy camper!Respectfully -- Jake
Hello Jake,I believe that Sally won the Jackpot ! !.So, Jake, shall we agree to disagree?? HE HE HE !Best wishes to Sally AND Doug ! Your picture "speaks" volumes of Love, mutual respect and affection!. UK Tom Edited by Singers

Hello Tom,OK, I am willing to "agree to disagree" provided you still have some of those Magnums from Class Chateau that you could possible help this poor soul in need. Consider it un-randomkindness to your long lost brother in crime. Respectfully thirsty -- Jake

Hello Jake,I took a trip down memory lane with Google Earth, just now, and "viewed" the Gite we stayed in. The vineyard looked wonderful.I found the Magnum's (Unwitting) supplier's price list and current price for bottles is £48 US$70 - double for Magnum. All magically (He He) disappeared now I am afraid. The number of workers who gave me "thumb up" for the rest of our time there was great. My X was invited into houses that otherwise would not have. All because of a small gesture... The term "LowLife" is one I never use but was the likely one the local bar owner would and the gesture he made to me regarding the Dutchman was derogatory. Keep smiling Young Jake,UK Tom23_9_11[1].gif Edited by Mr. Lee

Two months ago, I was walking towards the highway when I saw this little girl wearing a uniform of one of the public schools here in Bulacao. Her blouse was too small for her, it showed her tummy. I was on my way to my treatment then and I would be late if I went back. I told her to go to the back of the subdivision and look for me, the bald lady with cancer, and I would give her my daughter's old blouses. Just this morning, that little girl found my place and told my mother what I had told her to do. She went home with three blouses. I told her to come back when she gets to high school and I will give her more blouses.
Great story and a very kind thing to do. Thanks for sharing it.

Hello Demeter,In spite of your treatment of cancer, you found a way to brighten up the day for this little girl.Like the name implies, you are the Goddess of Harvest of smiles and love that surrounds you.May our Father bless you and your family.Respectfully -- Jake
Thank you, Jake. I always try to be of help to people, not financially, though.May God bless you and your family too.

Thank you for the kind words, MikeB and Traveler. I believe helping others is like investing. You don't know when you need help too. I don't go much for helping people financially as I don't have the means but for other things, as long as I have the means to give help, I will really do.Now, I am hoping to see those kids collecting plastic bottles as I have a lot in our kitchen. It will surely bring a smile on their faces if I give it to them.
