hiya: I hope some of you who are running some sort of business chime in. Some of you have a jeepony operation, or Internet Cafe, or chickens, or whatever. How much of your time each day does this take up? How far away from your residence is it, thus, travel time? Some of you are spending time in the clubs and bars and such. How about interacting with other expats? In my area, there is only one other, and he is from Austria, built a big house on the beach, almost straight across from our house on the hill. But he does not live there. He has a caretacker watching it, and only comes once in a while to visit. Once in a while i will see other expats at, Smart communications, or the hardware store in Olongapo, but i have never tried to start up a conversation with any of them.
work that is a 4 letter word & I try to never use those. after reading forums I have come to the conclusion that the Philippines is a great place to just retire to or possibly work on the internet but not open a business unless you are big time & know all the correct people to grease

I awake at 5 Am, feeling 10 foot tall. I then walk my dog in Minglanilla down the National Highway, breathing in the fresh air following up with some hacking and coughing. Occasionally, if I feel energetic, I walk up the stairs on the overpass by the church and look at the guy that almost peed on me a few months back, letting him know he was one foot away from a personal flyover. If I want to fight a few packs of dogs, I walk across the street and into the other "hood"...which looks exactly like every other hood in this land of too many people. If I am not in a battle frame of mind, I walk back around Kingswood, allow my dog to see his pinay girldogfriend so he can sniff her ass, and her his, and finish up through Belmont. About 40 minutes, a little sweat and almost pushing over a few trikes to scare the drivers ...for a laugh, and I am home...the house of the roach. I then chain my dog up near the gate, so he can observe the squatters down the road, and breath in the trash burning. I head in where my maid makes me my oatmeal, then gives me a banana and some coke zero. I proceed to play my best poker now, usually winning some cash, and after 1 hour tourny, I go out to work out on my gym...or if my off day, magic jack my property manager back in the states, or call my mom and dad. After I have one repped 650 pounds from my male boobs on my powertec, I then wack the heavy bag for a few minutes...making believe it is disrespecting me, talking sh&t about me...saying I am an overweight violent sexpat and need viagra to get a erection because I drink too much whiskey. Usually, a left hook to the ribs takes care of this, and the bag finally admits I am a classy person and declares to me...you are sir gwapo! After this sweat I then walk the dog again, this time trying to get a bit of a run going and staying OFF the highway. By the time I am home, I am very sweaty, hot...and take a shower. After this, I get drunk, go for lunch at a bikini bar, get two girls that are so skinny it satisfies my homosexual fantasy...haha, ok, I am a liar...I play more poker and then eat some lunch. Occasionally, I will play poker all day, if I am doing well. Other days I do some work on the computer, other days I head to my favorite place to eat...Casa Verde. Thank you Mr Lee...hahaha, went to the original yesterdayMovies at the mall, avoiding locust cousins and collecting used baby diapers at beaches are other hobbies.
