Popular Post Mike S Posted December 16, 2012 Popular Post Posted December 16, 2012 Hope this comes out alright I'm upstairs in the room and the WiFi is downstairs so sometimes the connection is spotty and gets lost ..... but we will give it a try ..... Finally after 5 days of searching we found a place (pictures inclosed) ..... I thought I knew all the agent tricks but I lerned a few new ones while looking for a pace here ...... first off there is no adds in the paper or classified adds like Cebu-Classifieds ..... there are some adds on the internet but most are months old and they don't bother to take them down ..... I mean whay should they someone might need it next year .... :christmas_emoticons_187: ...... only way is to get a realestate agent (hummmmm apears that the spell checker isn't working .... oh well sorry about that) while most are paid a commision by the landlord the guy who helps us the most will get a little something from us also ..... the guys name is Johnny Pane and he is a young Filipino who goes out of his way to find you something as long as you aren't an a*shole about it ..... not that any foreigners would act like that .... anyway this guy showed us about 10-15 properties .... at one time we had 3 realtors all in his car with us (they all seem to work together) but due to the games the other 2 women tried to play we dumped them and just continued with Johnny ..... but more on that when I get back to my desktop and a better connection ..... As I type this I have the privledge of listing to Filipino Christmas songs non stop from the chappel down the street ..... even with cotton in my ears you can still hear it ...... :unsure: ...... The rent for the townhouse is p7000 and we will be the first people to move into it as they are still finishing them (4 units) ..... we go back Mon. to sign the (simple 2 page) contract and put up the 2 months deposit and one month rental which doesn't take place until Nov. 1st .... I believe we have to be out of your place in Cebu by Feb 12th ........ we already have a moving co that will move all our stuff in a 10 wheeler for p30,000 they also have an office and terminal here in Bacolod ..... Well I'm getting long winded so before something happens I better go ..... OH .... and I must say I like Bcolod much better than Cebu City ..... but mor on that when we get back .... we will leave on Tues. morning by way of Escalante to San Carlos to Tolado ...... it is longer but no way am I going back across those damn mountains ..... :28: ........ :cheersty: Will take some better pictures on Mon. as we forgot the camera the first time but will have to wait till we get back to post them ..... hopefuly we will do a video on the way back ..... 10 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

By the way you sound, I think you are going to be much happier here than you were in Cebu - and I thought you were reasonably happy in Cebu... So here you will off the wall happy, right? hehe! Not that I know of .... they are a little south of Bacolod but still in the city .... there are only 4 units and I believe we got the last one .... these pictures were taken by the realtor just after completion (not sure when that was) ........ if I calculated right they are roughly about 49-50 sq. meters living space .... up and down and have 2 CR's .... they are owned by a OFW Filipino couple living in Vegas .... but her brother manages them ...
