On My Way!

House is sold, money is in the bank!   BB boxes shipped.  Tickets are bought - I am on the way!   I leave Texas on 12FEB13 and arrive in Iloilo 14FEB13!   I am pretty stoked about the idea... sounds like an adventure  :tiphat:

 

 

Well buying the tickets was a @#$%#@ adventure.  My daughter works with Rovia so I go buy the tickets.  They have price guarantee, and she gets a commission (also they sell Tiger Air so I could get my disposable ticket at the same time)..... they don't take Discover.  Of course they don't tell me this until I have the entire thing filled out with name, passport info, frequent flyer numbers....    So I go to Vayama that I have seen recommended here.  About the same price - same thing.... fill the whole thing out..... Don't take Discover.  All my flyer miles are on my Discover card.   Finally Travelocity works.   All 3 of them are within $50 of each other.  Shopping around doesn't do much anymore it seems ha ha.

 

 

Nothing else matters.   I am on the way!  

 

 

..... Now I really need to go read all the visa crap again......  :whistling:

have you had your shots done/updated?

any medications that you will need. do you have them?

do you have away to get them sent to you?

do you have the DR.Prescription?

do you have some address so your mail will be held or sent to you?

I never got around to updating my will. I really should, as my ex is still listed as beneficiary - and we've been divorced 16 years!   Also my 22 year old daughter was not born when I last made one.....

 

And I never looked into how to block my credit file.  Perhaps I should - if there is still time.

Oh, and I have not sold my bicycle yet.... it needs a good home.

Tuka, regarding the visa, do what I did not and get your first extension at the airport.  That will give you more time before you have to worry about it.

 well. i guess if you want the EX to live comfortably. dont change it.

also consider a VIOLENT death clause in the will.

if you die of "abnormal conditions" i.e Violence, then the current wife gets NADA not a D.mm thing and some charity will have some $$
