I suggest you go and spend a few months there, It is a lot different actually living there than just going for a week or two`s holiday. As for selling your house and buying one in the Philippines after only being in the country for 1 week, A very silly thing to do. Go and rent for 6 months, Then see how you feel, That is my advice, The Philippines is not Paradise as a lot of people seem to think.
