Legal Ramifications For Abandoning Wife For Philippines

I have read that you can get a US divorce in just one week in Guam. Guam is not cheap to live in (comparable to Hawaii) but as a US citizen you can divorce a non-US citizen quickly there. The non-US citizen does not have to be present. I have an old acquaintance that did this with his Thai wife (non-US citizen) about 4 years ago. Google that and see if it fits your needs.

I'm wanting to leave my wife without any legal processing. What are my risks? I'm a US citizen living in moldova. She is from Moldova herself.

Personally I think it would be better to clear up all loose ends such as a proper divorce rather than find years down the track something will bite you on the rump. If one day you wanted to marry in the Philippines you will need the correct paperwork to say you are free so that's just something more to think about.
