Thanks boys for the great comments,

So far so good after a rough start, lots have happened just in the last week,

I think we have found a good foreman and he seems to be doing what he has said , Ems dad is on site all the time buying the material when it is needed

We have a budget, and again so far so good, also we have a daily chat to the site to see how things are and pictures do come too, that keeps me happy

Did the same thing on the place in Guihulngan, if SAO or myself weren't there, Momma or Kuya was.  What I found interesting was that we had to provide their meals and snacks.

Bought all the materials ourselves too, the foreman offered to but we saved about 30% on average.  Most things went pretty smoothly, here's hoping the same for you Steve!

Pity we split up and I didn't get to enjoy the finished product!

Thanks Brett,

The plan was to build this house in a few years time, maybe even to start it once we was living there, but like anything in life once your wife has her mind made up we have to agree to it even if we know better,

But she is right, we are both working so we can get the money back over the next few years,

The price we are paying is very good too, not to much and i am hoping that we may even build somewhere else up in the hills a few hours away just a quick hide away but again who knows, one thing at a time,

The biggest problem that may happen to many of us is the break up, then you would lose the lot maybe, but i dont look at it that way, what Emma has given me in the years that we have known each other, well i need not say anymore

I was lucky mate, she's a good person and sent me back all the money I'd put into it.  I'm one of the lucky few I'm guessing.

Edit:  Lucky she had the means as well

I asked my Wife,(Only once) what would you do IF. OH! she said, I would sell the Lot, House and all and see you right and not out of Pocket. As we have always said there are some really Good ones.

Just a thought here Brett

Sorry to bore anyone, but i am going to anyway,

The build is going strong still, all the first floor walls are up and they are just extending the columns for the roof deck, soon they will start the beams for the roof, i have been told that that will be done this weekend,

The stairs are ready to be pored and  the doors have been hung and all is going well,

More pictures to follow,

The budget is still on plan and the time to Finnish the job too,

Steve is still a happy bunny,
