Help Needed To Free Up Space On Disk D

I have 22 gigs free now, so panic over thanks all.

 

Can you share with us exactly what you did so we can use your SUCCESS as reference?

Without reading all the suggestions, I suggest buying and external hard drive. Transfer everything you want to save to the external hard drive. This will free up a lot of space. Dump what you don't need or want.

Get your wife an external hard drive of her own if she has stuff that she wants to save.

You would be surprised at how much stuff you can store in an external hard drive.

I'm not talking about a small USB stick.

Thats is a good suggestion but the OP's problem was D drive, not C so you can't store or it would be pointless with D drive stuff on an external drive in my opinion. The best thing to do with D drive is to open the folders and see what's in there as there could be leftover stuff from a deleted program.

I don`t know too much about computers but on disc d i picked a folder and deleted it and so far all seems ok

I just turned off automatic back up so see if that helps any in the future. BTW this is not my computer so I don`t know what my wife does on here download porn maybe!

I have mine set up with all the operating system and programs etc on the C drive. My D drive is where I store all my music and movies etc. I have it partitioned with 400G on the C and 600G on the D. Works for me that way! I also have both a 250G and 1000G back up drives.

Every time I use that CC program it deletes my Candy Crush and it won't load again.  Grrrrrrrrr

 But Dave, you can alter the settings so not to delete or clean certain things. :thumbsup:
