Aussies do that also... and if made with whole grain bread and low salt baked beans then it's actually one of the healthier canned meals available. And it's not just me that says that, it's actually one of the 'heart health' breakfast options on the hospital menu in hospitals in Australia. Maybe it's one of those things you have to grow up eating... Edited January 4, 2020 by GeoffH
Gary D Posted January 4, 2020 Posted January 4, 2020 Have to have Marmite on the toast under the beans.

This is where Aussies and Brits part ways... we'd use Vegemite instead of Marmite (if we used anything and often we don't)

I was glad to discover McVitie's here after I saw Gregg Wallace on inside The Factory tour the biscuit plant. That said, I don't care for the Wholesense. A bit like cardboard to me. But I like the original flavor and I adore Hobnobs. A word of caution: The chocolate glazed kind will come to you off of the market shelf already melted together and inseparable.
stevewool Posted January 5, 2020 Author Posted January 5, 2020 Yes the cardboard taste is there, but I shall try to find the original ones, hobnobs are killers , you just cannot eat just the one and with a cup of tea we’ll the packets all been eaten in one sitting.
