How Did You Meet Your Wife/Partner/Girlfriend?

After 3 marriages and a defacto relationship including 2 Filipinas both of which are now happily living in Australia as citizens I returned to the Philippines in 2016 for my 3rd and hopefully last retirement here.

After a year with the wrong lady (I know how to pick them!) I met Maricel through an online dating app and 5 years later we are married with Maricel's son Matthew (almost 10) and our dog Pepper living a happy married life in Dumaguete.

I am 76 so the end game for me is their secure future and happiness.

Met while both volunteering for an international, web 3 charity. I came to visit after 4-5 months of Slack and video calling, and stayed for 2 months, burning through my life's savings, but happy for the first time in a long time. Went back to the states for a month to get my affairs in order, then came back here, now about 14 months ago. Life is tough here, but love makes you do crazy things.
