Slightly confused.  Why should an unmarried U.S. citizen who wants to bring their fiance to the U.S., have priority over a married U.S. citizen who wants to bring their spouse to the U.S.?

It sounds like that is where the largest backlog?

Just a question.

If the Filipina doesn't marry the American within 90 days, what mechanism is in place that ensures that she goes home?

I seem to recall that their are 4M Filipinos that have overstayed their visas by years/decades in CA alone  who never will leave. What inducement would the Filipina in this case have to ever leave? A large cash deposit perhaps---IDK.

There really is none. The good thing is the I-134 is not enforceable so the US citizen is off the hook for support.

I certainly watched that couple!

He had a 2nd got with a female from somewhere in Central or South America with no success.  Maybe 3rd time lucky?
