Travis Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 Hi guys. I have been in Cebu for a little over 2 weeks now and I am sorry but I have been too busy to even check into the forum. I thought the philippines was a conservative country but while walking around I got to see more sexily dressed women here then in the states. what is with all these older out of shape guys with all these very young philippine women with micro mini skirts on. I sat or stood under the escalators or rode up behind some and many did not even have underwear on. I am really enjoying the view but are these men making their women dress that way or are the women dressing that way to tease their men? I was shocked to see so many guys who could barely walk with such young girls, is that what is in store for me when I live here? Anyway, if you are going to be moving to the Philippines, you are not going to make any friends with comments like that. I know a lot of Korean and some Japanese girls wear them but other than some bar-girls I haven't seen any Filipinas and I have been here almost a year now (woo ..woo ... pretty soon I will almost be able to share some ideas about living here with the seasoned ex-pats) ...... I hope you are not one of those dirty ol' men that sit under the escalator on the first floor of Robinson's ....... hahahaha ...... Filipinas are VERY conservative ... I have only seen about a half dozen walking around with out bras or even less in short-shorts and when they do even the other Filipinas will look at them and make a comment ....... now what they do at home maybe a lot different but in public dressing like they do in the US with their boobs and butts hanging out is definitely not the norm here ...... Maybe you are one of those old fools with one of those young babies for a girl friend and that is why you got offended but I have a life sir and I suggest you mind your own business since I was not talking to you unless you are one of those old guys with one of those ridiculously short dresses on their ladies and then it would be you who needs a real life. Mr Lee Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 I have to say that I have seen quite a few minis in Robinson's and from time to time in Ayala and SM and many at the disco clubs at night, but not all over the place. Now as Mike said, quite a few guys sit under the Robinson's escalators to get a peek, and one day while I was sitting there with my wife, there was a maybe 30ish Filipina who happend to be with her white male companion and had a very short one on and no undies, so I guess it does happen once in a while or maybe I just do not see it because I am not looking and I do not hang out at the coffee shop there often.
