Does She Really,really Love You ?

I know I'm being provocative here, and I admit I like to stir you guys up a bit ( you're so stirable uppable )

but I am interested ( not to say fascinated ) by your responses.

 

Now, considering that most of us have one or two, perhaps all of the following -

 

1. Old

2. Very high forehead ( bald ! )

3. Overweight ( can only check out your equipment in a mirror )

4. Plastic teeth

5. Poor eyesight

6. Hearing deficit

7. Tired

8. Alcohol dependant

9. Smoker

10. Varicose veins

 

I can lay claim to over half of those things. I don't expect to grace a pin up calendar anytime soon.

 

Now, I know that physical attributes aren't everything, but come on !!

 

When she first saw you, this healthy, young, cute, energetic, lively filipina

Did she think " WOW, what a gorgeous man"

or did she think "Matandang Mayaman Madaling Mamatay" ?

 

Come on now, be honest. Lets get real !

 

If you were such a filipina would you fall in love with you ?

I admit I like to stir you guys up a bit

 

My gf likes to do the same thing.  Its ok.  I can take it  :morning1:

 

I asked her about some other guys who were older and uglier than me.  I said:  If you weren't with me would you go out with him.  Answer was Yes.  Made me feel like all my handsomeness was for nothing until she explained that its attitude, heart and financial stability (not necessarily wealth) that is more attractive to a woman than looks.  Its the same in North America except the ladies there add looks and age into the equation because they can.  (They have more options).

 I think it goes against conventional wisdom but I don't believe every guy can find a good woman here.  I know lots of guys who are just not good husband material and, while they can easily get laid in exchange for a few pesos, they are always saying they cannot find a good girl.  Perhaps they need to learn that it takes more than just a few pesos to keep a good one.  Some of these guys are 'rich' and always have a gf but never one they can be happy with.

 

So have enough money to support her.  Have a good attitude.  Show her that you are willing to be in it for the long term.  Then be sure you pick the right girl.  There are many wrong ones.

 

That all matters much more than age, handsomeness, and how rich you are.  In fact, being too rich will attract the wrong kind of girl (in some instances).

Well I asked SAO a similar sort of question last time I was there to the one Dave asked and the answer was very similar to the one he received but she also said that if I wasn't around it may well be a Filipino as well, it's about the heart.  My experience in PI has been that it's very easy to attract the attention of a beautiful young lady but unless you exhibit those personality traits attractive to women world-wide it's a little harder to hold on to them. 

 

Walk through any mall in PI, even somewhere like Nepo in Angeles where Europeans are a dime a dozen, and you will receive a lot of shy smiles, hellos and outright propositions; what you do next is up to you.

 

SAO has met many of my female friends here in Aust and whilst at first she had some reservations about me seeing them when she wasn't around, they've become her friends too, so that soon passed.  Conversely, with her female friends and relatives in PI, she is jealous.  she once asked me if I thought her cousin was pretty.... Oh man, now you'd think I'd have been around the block enough to know better than to give an honest answer, I didn't get the chance to get out that I also thought said cousin was a biatch. 

 

"Ask me again honey, light of my life, woman of my dreams, she who's ground I worship."

"Do you think Euralyn is pretty?"

"Head like a mule, and a personality to go with it."

"Better"

 

I'm lucky I think, SAO actually has a similar income there to mine here so I don't really have to worry about too much about her motivations on that front.  But generally it is also something you have to consider.   But as Dave says, it's more about financial stability than a massive wad of cash. 

 

In the meantime, no one says you have to find one straight away, just treat 'em right while the fun ensues.  Go and have a ball mate!

Like you, I have half of the list covered and I am by no means rolling in money, I today was told by a future beauty queen that I was Pogey which 25 years ago in the army meant fat but strangely enough, here means handsome. Go figure. :)

I spent quite some time getting myself trim before I flew to Cebu to meet my skype girlfriend (Mimi) in person and she said I looked bad cause I was too thin for her liking. Not cuddly enough or something. Oh well at least gaining weight is easy
