The Filipino & A Filipina

  Throughout the years and on a lot of Forums, here included, we nearly always see, references to the Older Foreigner and a Younger Filipina G/F. Yesterday, because we had a day long Brownout in Southern Negros Oriental. Azon and I went to a lunch, hosted by a Lawyer. Nice guy but a little too forward for me.

Now this, is not a strange occurance, one would think but Something, seemed a little odd to me. Don't know why, just  one of those Gut feelings. When we arrived, I was introduced, as you would expect, to the host and his (as I thought it) Daughter. [Azon, knew him, as they were High school class mates but had never, met his married family]

As the Meal Progressed, I became aware that maybe, this stunning Young lady of around 20/21 was not at all, his daughter, the Gut feeling came again.  Another guy (A Dane, and his wife were talking to some people who I guess, also, did not, understand the Situation.

They had brought along their 14 year old daughter, who was becoming a little bored. The Danish Guy's wife asked the Young lady, if she would sooner sit in the Shade and use the laptop with their Daughter,

The Young Lady (Joanna was her name)said in the most apologetic  but firm and subtle manner,  Thank you  but No, I will stay here with my Husband and talk to our Guests :hystery:

Talk about totally, getting it wrong. :1 (103):

I bring this up now, to ask if anyone else has come across this, a 48 year old Filipino with a 20/21 year old Filipina Wife? could I guess, be even Older than that for some.

We later found out, that they have a few friends that have married or taken in, a lot younger Filipina Lover.

Tongue in cheek I asked, is it, do you think, a trend, we may see happening here?

He said, only I think, amongst Professionals. He added, I doubt, there would not be enough Money from a non professional to attract such Beauties. Of course, there will always, be  the Foreigner!   but you know that already, I think. Yep! a very forward Lawyer     but genuine enough  :hystery: ( on the Surface)  [ but I don't think I would trust him Too far.]

So maybe it is Not, just us Older Foreigners that are targets for the Younger Filipinas. Maybe, our days could be Numbered, If this Trend were to take off

I know of two cases where Filipinos have "replaced" their wifes, went to live with a much younger "second wife", WITHOUT geting annulment in their marriages.  (They have more money than common Filipinos, but perhaps not enough to want to spend much money on annulments. It can be hard to guess people's assets, some want to LOOK much more rich than they are   :)

But I suppouse your example can have solved his annulment himself, if he was married earlier.

Never had time in the end, to find that out. My wife thought I had asked enough Questions on the Subject already, So she Took me Home.

Being a lawyer and knowing as we do, about one rule for one (them) and one rule for another (US  ) I guess he would not, have had a big problem, if he had, been married before.

I know my Special Someone's father had a much younger second wife.  His first wife passed away and then married my SS's mother.  He passed away quite a while ago as an older man and Av's mom is just hitting her 70s now.

The guy I regularly use to drive me around the greater Manila area is on his fourth "wife", or so he tells me (you know, the plain cars with the 3 stickers at the airport that drive you for a set price).  I asked him once what happened to the previous ones.  He just told me they got too old so he moved on.  I asked if he had any other girlfriends?  He said "just the one right now".  I was heading up to AC to see the now ex, it was the first time I'd met him, he assumed the obvious with regards to my visit to AC (not the case incidentally - there's a hell of a lot more to AC than Fields!) and offered me some cheap Viagra or Cialis  :hystery:.  I asked him "Why would you want to deal with more than one woman at a time???" and he just laughed.  He's in his early 60's, owns about 3-4 of those late model Toyotas that run around NAIA so I guess is a man of some means in PH.  I asked him "how do you keep up?" as his current "wife" is 22 and his girlfriend is 19 he just said "That's why I have Viagra and Cialis!" I didn't get into questions of kids, annulment etc, not really my place.

Just as an aside guys, he only charged me 1500PHP for the trip up to AC, I didn't feel like doing the Pasay Victory Liner bus run and it was April a few years back so more stupidly hot in Manila than normal.  Don't have his number handy but if you walk out of the terminal and cross the road to the right and are in the smoking area, he'll be sure to approach you if it's in daylight hours. He charges the same for Olongopo/Subic/Barreto.

I have known a few older Filipino men with a very young Filipina gf or wife but probably most foreigners who saw them thought she was his daughter. Its not only foreigners who like the young girls.

One of the funniest things I ever read was the utterance that all these old men are sweet for taking their grandaughrers to McDonalds for breakfast in Dumaguete. :mocking:

I had to go see this for myself and I did. The men sitting at one table and the women sitting at the other, but every so often one of the women would get up and go to her man, just couldn't seem to stay away. The group dynamic and the smiles on the womens faces was such, that I got to thinking that these older men were probably some charismatic old guys. Money may have helped, but I ask, where exactly is this place where it is not a consideration? :tiphat:

On one visit to Cebu I met a gal, either 20 or 21 yrs, with a couple of kids, one a 2 or 3 yrs, the other not yet a year.

She tells me the father is some shop owner in Cebu. The "deal" made beween him and the parents/her was that once she was 18 she would become his gf in exchange for him paying for the elder sister's college.
