Dave Hounddriver Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 (edited) You could start out on Fiverr where you are paid for your work in US dollars but you have to compete with everyone else. Sure, why not. So I went there and loaded up a gig for fun and experimentation. How about if you and any other interested members give me a critique? RBM Posted February 8, 2015 Posted February 8, 2015 Not something I would ever involve in or recommend but... We spend a fair bit of time in Canlaon, love the area, every visit always stock up on lovely fresh produce to last a week. My GF has her own sulky (hopefully correct wording) in the market. She has been confiding in her as to the difficulty of making ends meet. She as is most of the vendors, financed by an Indian money lender. being an ex banker I was some what curious about the interest rates as have heard horror stories. The poor woman concerned has no idea or understanding of interest rates. Knows only at the beginning of the month she receives P10K pays P400 per day for a 30 day month. End of month starts again. By quick reckoning thats a true rate of almost 500%. In any western country this would be known as extortion.
jpbago Posted February 8, 2015 Posted February 8, 2015 receives P10K pays P400 per day for a 30 day month. Known as Bombay 5-6. Get 5,000.....pay 6,000. There are 3 to 8 money pimps in the casino 24 hours a day charging 2% per 24 hours. Get 5,000....30 days later, pay 8,000. No shortage of customers. They have gym bags full of cash along with a ledger. Some people come there by driver in a nice new SUV and then borrow money at that rate because they took singing, dancing, and Rizal at school instead of Mathematics. A one month "5-6". Not odd she can't count the such interest. I have only found two Filipinos who can, although I have asked even teachers and one with Master exam in Business economy - and they CAN'T !!! Its here: https://www.fiverr.com/s/7mtygd If you hope to make something out of it might be best to set the gig page up like the others. Also put it in more categories such as website content. I have used fiverr maybe 6 times for different things so will keep you in mind. Just to add, you might be limiting yourself with your ad as there is only so much market for the Philippines. All the others do is request a bit of info about whatever the subject is and google the rest. Just make sure you make the content original though. Edited February 8, 2015 by Jollygoodfellow added wee bit
