Sorry to hear about your ailing dog Jack.  Pets can be such comfort company, and I'm sure it has been a real worry for you. The small barking and daily weight gain might be a slow progress, but good signs. I hope that he comes around over time, things get back to normal and you get your old pal back.

Not such a good Night for my boy, the Vet changed some medication which has all but stopped his shaking but now we have an added problem of "Bed sores" Not a lot we can do about this as he is an arrogant blighter at times and like most of us does not like to be pulled about but as I write this he is busy cleaning himself and quietly moaning when he licks a bit that hurts. Appetite is better and his Stools are Hard so it would seem his digestive system is back to as normal as we can expect at this time

Cleaning the cage daily can be a problem but the Girls are great and get in with him to feed and clean up 'Lysol' is working well and the Flies are minimal so my friends My boy is really Hanging in there but more than hanging, he is getting there and wagging (If Slowly) his tail

Thank You all for the Good wishes and reading this as sad as it is

Very Sorry to read of your loving dogs Distemper Jack.

Unfortunately it's a long road to recovery ahead still.

I wish you both all the very best. Your bond will help give him strength too.

I would like to ask whether or not he was previously vaccinated?

And what your opinion is of the standard of veterinary care available in Philippines.

Yes he had been vaccinated but he is coming up to 3 and he should have had a booster but we did not know this.

The Vets here seem very good, I have faith in them

Thank You for your interest and thoughts
