Popular Post Jack Peterson Posted January 28, 2015 Popular Post Posted January 28, 2015  All joking apart, I am actually finding it more and more less, of a leisure time and more of a must do some days. With Azon still Working Full time there is always plenty to do, :mocking: You know what they say "A Womans work is never done" Who'd have thought at 66 I would find myself in the Role reversal syndrome :th_unfair: Buts that's life Folk's We made our bed so now we must lay on it so to speak, Talking of which, I forgot to make the Bed  OH! OH! best get on :) JP :tiphat:
Popular Post bows00 Posted February 2, 2015 Popular Post Posted February 2, 2015 I will definitely curb my drinking habits before retiring there. I can see how this leisure could spiral out of control with all that free time. I ran into some expats living out in Barrio Barretto, Subic, and it was an eye opener for me. They have nothing better to do than drink all day. I had fun with them because I was on vacation, but I can see how this could get old, real fast...

Popular Post Dave Hounddriver Posted February 16, 2015 Popular Post Posted February 16, 2015 This thread just bumped back up to the top of my unread list, (thanks Stevewool :tiphat: ) and I realized that I spend a lot of time just trying to find time to do everything we would like to do each day. Today we want to go grocery shopping, get a massage, go to a movie, join some friends at the hotspring, visit a different friend who's wife just made pecan pie, and still manage to find time for lunch, dinner, playing my online game, visiting this forum, and researching online writing gigs. When all that gets done we still want to do our evening walk on the boulevard. Life is definitely not moving at retirement pace.

Popular Post Dave Hounddriver Posted February 16, 2015 Popular Post Posted February 16, 2015 (edited) you didn't mention the House, is it Finished? have you moved in yet? Ahh yes, the house is livable and we are living there. It will be an ongoing project for at least a year but not this week. But as I write I am supposed to be chowing down my food and getting ready to go out but half expecting PLDT to come by to finish hooking up the phone. Workers like that usually come by when I am showering, naked, and in a hurry, and that is also about the time that unexpected friends just happen to drop by. Retirement? Humbug :nudie: EDIT: I was right on both counts. PLDT came by, followed by friends who convinced us to go shopping another day as today was Hot Spring day! Ahhhh, the life. Can't imagine heaven being any better. Edited February 16, 2015 by Dave Hounddriver
